# Deploying to Node and AWS Lambda

Package and run the generated Brix application on Node servers or as a native AWS Lambda handler.

## Node

```sh
brix build --platform node
HOST=0.0.0.0 PORT=3000 brix start

```

`brix start` imports the named `app` export from an existing `dist/app.mjs`. Keep the complete `dist`
directory and the exact project installation together. It defaults to host `0.0.0.0`, port `3000`,
and `NODE_ENV=production` when unset.

## AWS Lambda

```sh
brix build --platform aws

```

Use handler `app.handler` when `dist` is the function package root, or `dist/app.handler` when the
repository root is packaged. Do not create a source wrapper around `src/app.ts`; it would bypass
generated route and island assembly. The DynamoDB data-cache adapter is supported only on AWS.
Its optional `strong: true` enables consistent reads; invalidation remains eventual.
