# Workspaces

A Brix workspace coordinates independently built applications, shared libraries, external hosts, and one root-owned toolchain. Use the focused guides for architecture, lifecycle workflows, and external integration.

Applications remain independently deployable, while libraries expose intentional shared APIs. Root commands coordinate dependency order and policy without allowing one application to import another application's implementation.
